Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your account and associated data for the Coach TeamMate app (and the wider TeamMate suite, including ClubMate and TM Events), published by The Coaching App Limited.

Option 1: Delete Your Account in the App

The quickest way to delete your account is directly from the Coach TeamMate app:

1. Open the Coach TeamMate app and log in.
2. Tap your profile picture in the top corner to open the account menu.
3. Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the menu.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account and associated data will then be permanently deleted.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion by email:

1. Send an email to support@teammate.football with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
2. In your email, include the email address or phone number associated with your TeamMate account so we can verify your identity and locate your account.
3. We will confirm your request by replying to the email address registered to your account. This verification step protects your account from unauthorised deletion requests.
4. Once verified, your account and associated data will be deleted within 30 days, and we will email you to confirm when the deletion is complete.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, we permanently delete:

• Your account and profile information (name, email address, phone number)
• Your coaching notes, match reports, and audio transcriptions
• Videos you have uploaded for analysis
• Your messages, comments, and in-app communications
• Connections to social media accounts (such as Instagram)
• Your notification and app preferences
• Device and usage data linked to your account

What Data Is Kept, and for How Long

Some data is retained after account deletion where we have a legal or operational obligation to keep it:

• Order and payment records (event ticket purchases, refunds): retained for up to seven years for tax, accounting, and refund purposes, as required by UK law
• Records required for legal, tax, audit, and administrative purposes: retained for up to seven years, or as required by applicable law
• Aggregated, anonymised usage data: retained for analytics — this data cannot be linked back to you
• Team and club data you shared with others (for example, match results or team records visible to other coaches or committee members in your club): may remain available to those users, but will no longer be linked to your identity
